Evacuation

There will be no more food for a while, nor adventures. Fires have been destroying our state, and on Friday a new fire started in Waldo Canyon, over the ridge from our house. We were evacuated yesterday afternoon. It is 0% contained and over 11,000 people have been evacuated in Colorado Springs. I searched Waldo Canyon Fire on the internet and came back with about 800,000 results, not to mention the news on repeat all day. We are with some wonderful and generous friends until we get more news on our neighborhood.

I know it's on everyone's mind, but I'm already sick of the talk of the fire.  There is no use worrying over what can't be changed, and life continues, as it must.  We cross our fingers and throw evacuation parties.  It's better to be together than alone, and what are friends for, if not to be a rock in crisis?
The Denver Post has been the best in terms of information and photos, some of which are absolutely incredible.
